Busy Week

We've had a fun and busy week this week. Kelsey went off to girl's camp and had a great time! She got to go to Ried's Ranch in Fruitland Utah and although it was short she loved it!

The little girl's and I got to see the angel Moroni be put on the Brigham City temple on Tuesday. It was a neat experience. I finally got to see a Dr. and September 9th @ 12:00 is when our little one will join us! We are so excited to have daddy be here for two weeks during that time. We are counting down the hours! Thursday we headed to Bear Lake with my sister's families. We had a beauitful day of swimming. I also braved it up and went camping with them for a night! Surprisingly it was a good night's sleep! Saturday we had a yard sale which took a lot of work but didn't get the desired results we may have to do it again! Needless to say the last two nights I have been useless. Catching up from all our fun!!!

The last four months have gone steadily by. The girls and I have temperarly relocated ourselves to my parents house in Lewiston, UT. It has been quite an adventure making this quest without the assisstance of Nathan, although he has been very supportive of all our decisions. All the preparations has made our time apart go quickly. But now that I have more time to think, I miss him even more!!!

We have been here a little over three weeks now and are finally feeling settled in. We are used to vacationing here so we usually jam pack everything we possibly can into three weeks. Well I think we've done pretty well with that this time as well. We've had party after party and today is no exception since it's my brother Scott's 31st birthday. My Grandma Hartley and Aunt Linda are also coming today to be here for the fourth of July weekend. It's going to be fun!

Since this picture was taken we have tried to keep busy! The girl's have enjoyed their new Wii that dad bought for them. They even get me involved especially when it's dance time (Kels, I will haunt you forever if you even think of posting those picts!!!!) We have eaten too much and stayed up too late. Snow Days In North Carolina

We have had an unusually snowy year so far this winter. It snowed yesterday and today everything is pure ice. The schools have been shut down yesterday, today and for tomorrow as well. We'll see if Nathan has work tomorrow; as they have shut down post as well. Being from Utah it seems a little extreme to shut down everything for a little snow. But you should see how they drive here! I'll just stay home too!
Let's just say they kids are not complaining too much except I had them do some homeschool today. Tomorrow they ususally go to the smith riding stables but since it has turned into an ice rink it is cancelled as well. They even have cancelled mutual at the church tonight. I'm telling you the whoe world shuts down here but in the meantime we get to enjoy each other without any other commintments taking our time!

Christmas and Snow!!!

We had a wonderful christmas this year. We were very blessed with some great gifts and good times. Although we didn't have a white christmas day, we were surprised to wake up to 6 inches the day after!!! i'm not sure who was more excited the kids, the dog or Nate.

WE hope you all had a great Halloween! Our favorite part is picking out our pumpkins and carving them. Nate and I decided to drill ours this year. I might have to post more pictures of that

Aleah dressed up as Cinderella which was no surprise although she had three other outfits to choose from. She even sat still so I could do a princess braid!

Nathan's work hosted a trunk or treat a week before Halloween. The kids had a lot of fun and got a lot of candy. I think they went around the cars like three times!

Morgan dressed up as little red riding hood. Her BIG basket got her even more candy because people were trying to help her fil it up! She was defiently happy about that!
Morgan really got into her character!

Kelsey talked a couple of her friends to be Skittles with her. She especially enjoyed spraying her hair pink!

We have put off doing family photos for years!! While we were in Utah my wonderful sister set it up with a fabulous friend of hers to take our pictures in our favorite spots in Logan canyon and the Logan temple. She did a fantastic job and we had so much fun!

Relaxing and Rejeuvenating is what I wanted and that's what we got! This weekend we went camping at Jordan Lake. Why we never went there before is beyond us, but it's now our favorite place and only an hour away. Our campsite was perfect we even had our own privat beach to play on all day Saturday. Needless to say we our all tired and sunburned today!

Nathan was testing if Morgan was really truly asleep or not with his stinky socks.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend two concerts. One was my favorite pianoist Jon Schmidt. Nathan and I took the girls,Kelsey's friend and two of our friends from church, to Winston Salem. We had such a good time. The girls really enjoyed it! He is a great entertainer as well as pianoist.

The other concert was Mr. Al a fun and crazy kids singer. We went with my preschool. Aleah thought it was great fun. We were on the front row so there was lots of room to dance!!!

If your really bored you can watch Mr. Al and feel sorry for me for having to endure his whole concert. This is our #1 requested song in preschool. I really love to see people make a fool of themselves and get it on camara. So beware if you get up and dance.

We had a wonderful visit from nathan's family last month. We traveled North Carolina like we never had before. We went to wilmington and toured the uss north carolina. Bryan was in the navy 11 years so it was really neat to have him as a tour guide!! Debbie grew up in North Carolina so we were able to see some places she used to go as a little girl. The most exciting of these was her grandparents home. We even got to go inside before it is sold out of family in Mt. Olive. We also got to see where her parents are buried. Jason and Marlene brought there four kids we had so much fun with them! They are great kids! It sure is nice to have family come! Who's next?

This weekend has been great! An Ice Storm hit Fayetteville and we've been forced to stay home. We've been able to have some great family time and spend some time outdoors together. Since snow of any kind is rare around here our snow play had to get creative. The kids brought out the boogie board we use at the beach and a deflated beach ball so they could slide down the hills. It was fun!

We had such a nice holiday season this year. The best part is the new camara I got from my parents!!! Now I have no excuse for not posting pictures.

Grandma Hartley gave the girls wonderful gifts this year. Morgan recieved a build a bear she got to sew herself. We had so much fun putting it together. Kelsey got a fleece blanket that she's been tieing it togther. She can't wait to snuggle with it.

Olivia picked the perfect gift for Kels. She's defiantly a Utah girl at heart!!!

Here is our tree this year. We've had it up since the day after Thanksgiving.

Morgan's Baptism!

Saturday Morgan was baptized a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a special day. Grandpa Pehrson was able to come to make it even more special!
A memory we will never forget is when Nathan filled up the font and came back to pick us up. When we got there it was starting to overflow! Luckily it didn't spill on the carpet. So Nathan drained it some. When it was time to baptize her and we opened the curtains the water drained too much. So Morgan got baptized in about two feet of water! Good thing she's flexible!

Today is Kelsey's 11th birthday. I can't believe I've been a mom for that long. Time has flown by. I'd like to say 11 things about my Kelsey girl.

I have often heard the story of my birth. I was fourteen days late. When mother was finally in labour with me it took hours and hours. Eventually the doctor could no longer hear my heartbeat. They had to poke my head to be sure I was okay. Mom then had to have c-section. I was born a healthy 9lbs 10 oz.
I like to think that I might have been resistant to leave my heavenly home. Perhaps that's why heavenly father brought heaven to me when he gave me an angel for a mother.

Alive and well

So it's been awhile since I've posted. I just wanted to reassure all of you that I'm still alive and doing well. That's a good thing. I don't really have exciteing pictures to share this time. I guess I'll have to look for good opportunites this next week.
Our life is what I call metamorphsing into different paths than expected. In the last couple of weeks, We have learned that we are no longer going to Germany, and I've begun homeschooling Kelsey. Big changes but actually very smooth transitions. We will probably be staying here at Fort Bragg for a couple of more years. It feels good. WE feel content. It's funny how things change when the Lord is in control. We know that everything will work out. I never thought I'd say this but Fayetteville has felt more at home to us than any place else we've lived since we've joined the military. This is our home for now!

Spring Break

The girls just finished up their spring break. We stuck around Fayetteville but still had a really fun and relaxing week.

Monday we had fun with horses. Morgan and Aleah got to go on pony rides and Kelsey got to go on a trail ride. We were lucky it didn't rain on us!!

Wednsday we went to the children's museum with some friends of ours and to the Fayetteville downtown farmer's market. It was tiny but still fun.

Friday we went to the Botanical Gardens. It's my favorite place. We took a ton of pictures and will back next week to take more.

Easter Weekend

Today is my mom and dad's 33rd Wedding anniversary and my husband's 35th birthday. I am so blessed by these three wonderful people. I was raised by two wonderful parents who showed unconditional love and still do. They are such a wonderful example of love and devotion to each other and their family during the good and the hard times. I love you! Happy Anniverary Mom and Dad!
I am doubly blessed to have married a husband who shows me the same love and devotion my parents have. Thanks for loving me Nate. Happy Birthday!

Weekend Retreat

This has been a wonderful weekend! Nathan and I have found throughout our years of marriage that when we feel the weight of the world the best thing for us is to go outdoors. So Nate came up with the great idea to go rent a cabin by Smith Lake. Now it's really only about 10 minutes away from us but it felt like a million miles away. It was so nice and peaceful! The girls thought it was awesome. We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and peach cobbler. The girls had fun throwing rocks into the lake and playing in the woods. I truly wish we could of stayed longer. We got home just in time to watch General Conference. Wow, it was so just what I needed. I feel refeshed and invigorated and ready for anything.

Nothing has been very exciting around here lately. So I haven't known what to post. We just do our daily thing. Nate works out and reads. Kelsey goes to School and plays with her friends. Morgan homeschools and plays outside. Aleah makes messes and screams. And I just try to not lose my head. It's all very normal.

A Beautiful Pre -Spring Day!

So it's not offically spring yet, but today was absolutely gorgeous. Morgan and Aleah couldn't wait to get outside and enjoy the weather and explore the blossoms on the tree. Morgan decided to do her school work on the porch but couldn't sit still as you can see. I love spring here in North Carolina I'm going to miss it!!

Family Home Evening at the Sisson house

Okay so those of you who don't know our family very well, may be appaled by this post. For those of you who do know us you'll just think nothing of it. Nate came home tonight with TOY guns including water guns so that we could practise his medical training. Bizaare I know but what can you do when your married to a medic military man! The kids thought it was great to shoot each others TOES and to take turns being the victim. Don't ask what the spiritual message was tonight for I'm still trying to figrue that one out.

Home Improvements

Knowing that we were possibly going to move, we set aside some money to do a few upgrades to our home. Now that we are moving to Germany we're very gald we did it while Nate had the time. Hopefully it added some charm that will encourage someone to buy it! My husband has amazed me with his hidden talents. I've been very impressed by how hard he has worked. Way to go honey!!!

Yesterday we found out that we are going to be stationed in Stuttgart Germany. What a shock!!! I've actually experienced an array of emotions in the last 24 hours. First I couldn't believe that we were moving from here. I had convinced myself that our time here was not done. Second was fear that we have to sale our house in these terrible economical times. Next was the excitement of being back in Europe and being able to travel o all the places we love and all those places we never saw our first tour there. And then back to the reality of all the work that is before us in the next couple of months. These same feelings keep swirling around my head. One moment I'm happy the next I'm crying. My mom recently reminded me of the words of President Monson " Fear and Faith cannont dwell in the same heart." I've always had faith that heavenly father has a plan for me and my little family. I know he sends us where we need to be. That doesn't stop me from raising my eyebrows a little and asking "What Now?" but I know that if this is his plan all will go smoothly and we will be able to learn and grow and enjoy these next three years!!

Tuesday night fun!

Tuesday night Kelsey had a little violin performance. It was great to
see what she's learned so far this year. She looked so pretty up there!

Then at the end they had a little surprise they had the kids come and grab a parent to play a song. Luckily we only had to pluck it and not use the bow.

Later that night American Idol came on and I get weak in ptting the kids to bed on time so I don't have to miss it. Nathan was coming home at 9:00. When the girls heard him coming in they all dashed to find a hiding place in the Living Room. Kelsey caught her foot on the cofee table. This is the result.

Valentines Day!

It was really nice to have Valentines day on a weekend. We realize we've never really spent it all together as a family. Stemming from traditions set from my growing up years. We always have little Valentines gifts set out on the table at breakfast time. For Morgan this like an extension of Christmas. So despite that it was Saturday, she woke up early and was ready for "breakfast" Well, I treasure my Saturday morning laziness so I hadn't even remembered to get things set out yet. Poor Morgan was sent to watch TV while I scurried to sign Valentine cards and throw candy on the table. Once Morgan sighted candy I scored my mother of the year points up again. So all was well at breakfast. Except the dentist wouldn't have been pleased, especially after the "sugar bug" talk we gave Morgan last week. Oh well I'm paying for it. (literally!)
As for the rest of the day, Aleah hasn't been feeling well, so Nathan had the great idea to order in Chinese and have a romantic candle light dinner as a family. It was a great success and the kids loved being more involved than having to sit at home with a babysitter while Nate and I go out. This may be the beginnings of a new tradition!

Ordinary Days

Bows and Things!

My sister Michele taught me how to make some cute bows. It's kind of addicting. I'm not so good yet but it's fun. I went crazy at Hobby Lobby's and bought a bunch of ribbons. As cute as they are I'm not sure how much my girls will wear them. Oh well, I try.
The girls had a fun slumber party here this weekend with their friends from church, Amber and Kaitlyn. They are fun girls. They had a tea party and pillow fights and all those fun girly things. It's fun to have kids because it keeps me Young!!

Tribute to Grandpa

My wonderful Grandpa Hartley passed away a couple of weeks ago. He had been dealing with cancer but it got him quickly so he didn't have to suffer very long. We are all grateful for that but miss him greatly. I had the opportunity to fly to Utah and then ride up with dad, Scott and Wayne to Oregon for the services. Michele, Olivia, Mom, and Aunt Linda had been with Grandma for that week. I was so blessed to be able to be their to pay tribute to my grandpa and celebrate his life. It was so good to see all the support that grandma has and the friends that they have acquired over the years. I was able to share my memory dancing with grandpa at their 50th aniiversary. It is a memory I will never forget. I have been so blessed in my life with great grandparents, parents, siblings, husband, and children. Family is everything to me. I am so grateful for the love that we share and will continue even into the next life.

I just got off the phone with someone I never met but is a member of the church. It is amazing how connected it makes me feel with them. There is a peace in their voice and genuine compassion. I know not everyone has these attributes. At least yet. We all can if we allow the spirit to enter our lifes in everything we do and not just on sundays.

Michele, Wayne and Olivia!!!

It has been so much fun to have family here. My niece Olivia is so cute. This is the first time I met her and she just truned one the day before she got here. We have enjoyed just hanging out with them. We've gone for a nature walk, children's museum, family fun arcade, lunch with Kelsey at school and playing sardines, rumikub and Uno. It really doesn't matter what we're doing it's just fun to be together. They are visiting South Carolina right now, where Wayne served his mission. They'll be back Saturday and Michele and I are going sneak away for a couple of hours and have girl time. I just wish they could stay longer!

These past two days have reaffiremed my belief in miracles. First my sister Jenny had her twins! That is a true miracle in itself. The other part is that they arrived at 38 weeks after Jenny had to be on bed rest for the last three months. And the best part of all is they are all healthy and doing great! I am a very proud auntie and can't wait to see pictures. Congratulations Jenny and Devin!
The other confirmation of miracles is from my other sister Michele. They were traveling to see my grandparents in Oregon. They hit a patch of black ice and rolled their pathfinder. Right away there were people to help get them out and an ambulance soon after. Miracle upon miracle they have only bumps and aches. I am so grateful for their saftey. And know that they were being watched over. I love you Wayne, Michele and Olivia!

Well we had a great christmas. It's been very relaxing. The girl's said this was their best christams ever. Which is great because we simplified a lot. But I'm glad they still enjoyed it and perhaps got to see what christams is truly about. Thanks to all the very generous gifts given by family!

I realize that Christmas is just around the corner and I feel like I haven't done the things I need to do to really enjoy the season. Yes our tree is up, our stockings are hung. My shopping is pretty much done. But I have yet to slow down and enjoy the season. Kelsey is on her way home from school and Nathan has time off too. That's when I feel we will begin to feel the spirit of the season. To me it's togetherness with family and loved ones. The rest is just extra. I am looking foreward to life slowing down and hopefully the phone ringing less! I feel so blessed for all I have now I'm ready to slow down and enjoy it.

I'm happy to report that I'm feeling better today. When Nate got home last night I went to the gym. Wow it felt good to be moving. It's been too long. I got on the scales and realized that I really need to be there more often and not only for my mood!
I had great intentions to start for the new year but after going yesterday I'm not going to put it off. I think my family will be supportive since they saw a huge change in me when I got home. A happy mom is a happy home!

Holiday Blues

So it's Monday morning and not off to a good start. Aleah woke up at 3:30 and didn't go back to sleep. So that also means Nate and I didn't sleep much either. I tried to take a nap after Kelsey left for school but that has just made me groggy. I am truly trying to enjoy the holidays but it seems harder this year. I think it's been too long since I've seen Family and I'm feeling completely out of the loop. Peoples lives go on and ours seems at a stand still.
On a positive note my sister Jenny is about to have those miracle babies. I'm so excited for her and know she will be a fabulous mom!
My sister Michele is a great mom to my adorable niece Olivia who I have yet to meet. Michele is about to graduate from USU. I'm so proud of her and wish I could be there to cheer her on.
My wonderful grandpa has cancer and has some rough months ahead of him. I'm glad my parents and Scott are going to be able to visit with him after Christmas.
Now that I got all that out I can at least see why I'm so grumpy. I miss my family. I wish I could be there with them this holidays. But I can at least let them know I love them and will be thinking of them all season long.

So tonight I overdid my parental duties and took my kids to Movie night at Kelsey's school. The movie was Kunfo Panda. We hadn't seen it so I thought it would fun. JK. It was worse than a zoo. It was two hours of kids running around the gymn, screaming, spilling popcorn, and juice on everything and everyone. It was awful. I don't know why I stuck it out. But I'm paying for it now with a nice pounding headache.
On a good note I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving and the yummy food we get to share with my good friend Alecia and her family. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

The other Night I came home to my hubby and Aleah snuggled up watching football. It was so cute. Nate even got her to say football and then she pointed to Dad. Anything Dad likes so does Aleah. Who needs a boy?

Chicken Soup

So lately I have been bored with my cooking so I'm venturing out of our norm and finding new recipes. Well I have a couple RAchel Ray magz, so I found a good and EASY chicken soup. I can't believe i've never made it before. Although I cheated a little and bought a rotessori chicken from Food Lion it tasted really good!

3 1/2 cups of chicken broth (I use the whole carton of it.)
Pepper (not too much)
2 medium carrots sliced
2 stalks of celery
1 cup uncooked extra wide egg noodles (I also used more of these because I've been know to drian chicken soup from the can to get to the noodles.)
1 cup shredded cooked chicken

1. Heat broth, pepper,carrot and celery in 2 qt saucepan over medium-high to a boil.
2. Stir in noodles nad chicken. Reduce heat to medium. Cook for 10 min. or until noodles are tender.

prep 5 min. Cook 20 min. Makes 4 servings (So adjust to your family)

We spent Christmas in Utah and were at Grammy Sisson's house. I can't believe how small she was. Ahhh they grow up too fast. Sure wish we could spend Christmas in utah this year!

What's Happening in our world

Recently my sisters have found themselves at home after leading busy lifes. In order to fill their time they have become avid bloggers and in so doing made me feel self conscious about my own. So in making improvements I have come in contact with people I haven't talked to forever. That's exciting. So I'll just give a quick update on our little lifes. Nate is here doing training. It's been 2 1/2 years and we are drained. He has devoted himself to this and we have had to adapt to him not being very involved with daily life. He should be done in the spring and we will be at the army's discretion. But for now we like our little house and busy life. In July I got called as Relief Society President here in our Fayetteville ward. What a humbling calling it has been. Let's just say that responsibilty defiently makes me feel like an adult. I love the sisters in my ward and I am learning a lot about myself. (That's not always a good thing.) I have been homeschooling Morgan last year and this year. She is in the second grade. We are really enjoying it although it does require a lot of energy. We are following the Charolotte Mason approach and Morgan is just loving her nature studies. Aleah is on for the ride. She loves having her sister home. They have a lot of fun exploring together and bringing home every rock and leaf they can find. Kelsey is in the fifth grade at our local public school. She is learning the violin and loving it. She is also in the art and Battle of the Books club. She has a great teacher and some good friends this year. She is also progressing nicely with her piano. It's fun to teach her and her sister along with four other students. In our spare time (Ha) we like to go for walks, bookstores, play games and do crafts. I love to do emboidry. Most of them I end up giving away but I found a few a kept around the house. Well I just realized I practically wrote my Christmas letter. So maybe I'm actually ahead of schedule thes year. Wow that's amazing!

I am Grateful!

When things are tough it's hard to forget all the blessing that I have. I tend to focus on the future and forget how much I have during the present. I love my heavenly father and am grateful for all he gives me and my family. The challenges he gives us are not easy but I know that he sees the bigger plan and we must have faith and endure to the end. I love my husband. I am proud of his will power and dedication to accomplish his goals and ambitions. I love my three wonderful girls. Each of them are growing up to be smart,compassionate, beautiful girls. I am grateful for our parents for raising us in the gospel and teaching us to stand up for what we believe in. I love my sisters. They are so fun and I am proud of both of them for accomplishing so much in their lifes and being great examples to me. I love my brother he has taught me to search out the best in everyone. I love my grandparents who have always gave constant love and encouragment. Family is so important and I'm grateful for mine. I am also grateful for the friends that I have and continually meet. I have met the best people wherever we go. I'm never alone. Wow, it's good to see this all written down, I feel better all ready!

Today I turn 31 and I've had a fantastic day. For one, Nathan was home all day and spoiled me with a fabulous dutch oven dinner and a German Chocolate cake he made himself. The girl's have been surprisingly pleasant and peaceful, I was even able to get a nice little nap in. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful little family. I'm also blessed to have family who love and support us regardless of the hundreds of miles in between. I'm also blessed with great friends wherever we go. These are the gifts I can keep with me all your round!

Summertime is moving quickly. Kelsey is having a fantastic time visiting in Utah. She's getting spoiled, she'll never want to come back home! But we need her! Her sisters are already going crazy without her and it hasn't even been a week! Nate graduates from his medic course on Friday is so relieved to have accomplished such a great program. It's been extremely difficult for him and us not seeing much of him, but I know it's worth it effentialy. Now he's on to Language training. I'm grateful that he is good with languages since Aarabic to me sounds like someone's gagging!
Well I must go tuck in My Morgan since Nate reminds me I'm the only one who can console her. Love ya!

Summertime

I just finished reading every one's blogs and feel guilty that I haven't personally wrote anything lately. The girls and I are are enjoying our summer so far. We have a calendar of things to do each day and it definitely helps. Although the girls still get bored if there is even 5 minutes lapse in entertainment. Yesterday Morgan was so bored she stuck an eraser up Aleah's nose! Luckily Nate came to the rescue without too much pain and agony. The girls and I have been reading a lot about ancient History and about Egyptians. They are really getting into it and we've been reading a lot of books on the subject. We are going to try and make our own paper today. So that will be fun and interesting. Kelsey is getting ready for her Utah trip and can hardly wait. It's going to be really quite around here though. But I know she'll be in good hands! Enjoy your summer!

I am talking about a time when I fell in a pond in Germany.
One day my mom, dad, and I were at a park. There was a few ponds. My parents were playing Frisbee. I was feeding some ducks bread, when I gave them a whole piece .

I didn't let go and fell with it. I was only five so I couldn't swim. My mom and dad looked back and couldn't see me. All they saw was bubbles. my mom made my dad jump in and catch me. When we got in the car they asked me if I had fish in my hair? I said "no". And that was the time when I fell in the pond!

Joys of Summer

Wow it's been awhile since I last blogged hope somebody will read this! WE've had a wonderful summer this year. We were so happy to visit with all our family(except Jenny!)WE jam packed so many wonderful activities it's hard to rember them all. The only thing that would make it better is if Nathan could of joined us. It's been relaxing since we've been back home for the most part. The girls enjoy swimming in the pool and so do Nate and I! It's been extremely hot so were glad for the chance to cool down in the pool. WE are so blessed to have such good friends from church. Our callings keep us busy but I'm growing in the gospel everyday. I've learned that there is still I alot that haven't learned yet. It's exciting and overwhelming at times. But I'm actively engaged in a good cause and it defiently keeps me out of trouble!

In D&C 98 26 "And again if he shall smite you the third time, and ye bear it patiently, your reward shall be doubled unto you four-fold. I'm going to put my faith into this scripture, as again for the third time my husband has to wait six more weeks for some training to begin. Nathan has remained positive in all this so I'm praying to do the same. Hopefully I can be benefactor of his time and continue to use him as my personel trainer! According to this scripture If we are patient our rewards will be numerous! Can't argue with that!

I can't help but take a momnet to express my great thoughts on this Easter sunday! What a wonderful day it is to rejoice in our Saviors sacrifice for us! Some years ago, President Gordon B. Hinckley told “something of a parable” about “a one room school house in the mountains of Virginia where the boys were so rough no teacher had been able to handle them.

“Then one day an inexperienced young teacher applied. He was told that every teacher had received an awful beating, but the teacher accepted the risk. The first day of school the teacher asked the boys to establish their own rules and the penalty for breaking the rules. The class came up with 10 rules, which were written on the blackboard. Then the teacher asked, ‘What shall we do with one who breaks the rules?’

“ ‘Beat him across the back ten times without his coat on,’ came the response.

“A day or so later, … the lunch of a big student, named Tom, was stolen. ‘The thief was located—a little hungry fellow, about ten years old.’

As a young immature teenager I once commented to my mother that at her funeral I was going to sing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. I know it sounds brutal but it was just me acting like the goof ball I was. But Of course this is the one thing my mother remembers. Recently she asked me if this were still true. Truthfully I've been trying to think of a song that would truly describe my wonderful mother. I've come to the conclusion that there isn't one good enough yet. So this means one of two things: mom better plan on living a really long time or I'll have to compose it myself. I love you mom. I per fer the really long time option. May we all watch what we say, you never know when your words will come back to get you.

We have a happy house with Nathan being home. We celebrated by going to a great Japanese restaurant last night. This was like an event rather than just a dinner out. They cook the food in front of you and put on a good show. Kelsey got a surprise when the chef squirted sauce on her but it was just a string. Kelsey and Nate enjoyed California rolls, while Morgan and I enjoyed our terriki chicken and rice, Although we both tasted a bite of shrimp. Aleah would of loved to join in our feast but she had her applesauce and did share my mushroom broth soup. I decided this is where I would like to celebrate my dawning of a new decade here in September. They have quite the birthday rendition with drums and all. Bring it on.
The girls get to have their Daddy Daughter Dates today. I'm jeoulous. Morgan asked if I'm ever going to cook again because they get so many treats in one weekend. I told her I was going to get a chef's hat and start juggling my salt and pepper shakers and they'll think their eating out every night. I hope you all enjoy your time this weekend with the ones you love.

Well the Sisson family made it through one more day. Sometimes this is all I ask. It seems we cover every emotion at least two or three times a day. Just when I get one problem solved five others seem to jump up in line. I guess this is what it means to endure to the end, at least I know my end is not up any time soon.
Our family tries to end the day with a Happy thought or the best part of that day. Today mine would be that my alarm is fixed and I no longer have to hear the annoying beep go off every hour and I know that we are safe again. And Sometimes we also ask what the worst part of the day is, This isn't a very positive thought I'm probably destroying my children with this, but mine today would be that we thought Morgan was finally up to date with shots when I was notified the last set of shots she took last week were the wrong ones. But to end with a happy thought again, I also found out I can take my kids off post to a pediatrician and not even have to pay a copay. So good-by womac.
Now that my kids are all asleep and it's not even 9:00, I can truly say that I love being a Mom no matter what drama will awake me tomorrow.
Sweet Dreams. Ya gotta have them or you'll go insane.
