Tribute to Grandpa

My wonderful Grandpa Hartley passed away a couple of weeks ago. He had been dealing with cancer but it got him quickly so he didn't have to suffer very long. We are all grateful for that but miss him greatly. I had the opportunity to fly to Utah and then ride up with dad, Scott and Wayne to Oregon for the services. Michele, Olivia, Mom, and Aunt Linda had been with Grandma for that week. I was so blessed to be able to be their to pay tribute to my grandpa and celebrate his life. It was so good to see all the support that grandma has and the friends that they have acquired over the years. I was able to share my memory dancing with grandpa at their 50th aniiversary. It is a memory I will never forget. I have been so blessed in my life with great grandparents, parents, siblings, husband, and children. Family is everything to me. I am so grateful for the love that we share and will continue even into the next life.

So sorry to hear of your loss. How thankful we can be to know of Heavenly Fathers Plan and know it will just be a short time till we are all together again. What a wonderful time that will be and how I know we all long for it some day. It also helps us keep things in perspective and be thankful for what we have here today as well. Love ya and miss you all.

Sounds like you had a pretty awesome Grandpa. (Your Mom's blog was pretty touching.) That's great that you were able to attend the services and be there with so many family members. You have an awesome family. I enjoy reading about them. Take care.
